  THE ANSWER The current experiences and living conditions of several billions of people in our world today has posed several questions bordering on the essence of life and living here on earth. One of such questions which I think summarises most of these questions could be, “Is life worth living?”  Frankly speaking, to scores of people life has ceased to be worth living. However, to you reading this post, I have good news.  Please believe this, against all odds confronting you now. God did not create you to be a defeated, discouraged, frustrated, wandering soul, seeking in vain for peace of heart and peace of mind. He has bigger plans for you.  LET US PRAY FOR NIGERIA!   (DAY 7) "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee" (Isaiah  60:1,2). Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the LORD: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children..." (Lamentations  2:18-19). "Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem" (Psalms  51:18). Lord! Remember mercy and do good in your good pleasure to Nigeria in the name of Jesus. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces...I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good" (Psalm 122:6-10). Please Lord, Let your peace reign over Nigeria in Jesus' name. Father!!! every human, physical and spiritual stronghold from the North, East, West and South of this nation and beyond assigned to subdue and scatter Nigeria, perish now!!! In the name of Jesus.   I decree the death on all negative forces operating in the lives of Nigerian leaders, in the name of Jesus.  O Lord, pass through our land with violent anger and slay the wicked who have covenants with evil powers to destroy the prosperity and glory of Nigeria, in the name of Jesus. O Lord! Arise in your mercy and purge Nigeria of all evil vices and practices bedeviling the its peace and progress in Jesus' name. Father, if Nigeria has been targeted for total destruction, let your mercy hold us together, in Jesus name.  Every bloodshed crying against the greatness of Nigeria; blood of Jesus intervene by mercy, in Jesus name.  Fire of God!   HEALING FOR OUR NATION I have heard several people make derogatory comments on the hope of our dear nation. Some say things like "Nigeria is a failed state", "Nigeria is finished", "Nigeria is in shambles" (perhaps you've heard some worse too). While others keep expressing their hopelessness of the nation by pursuing an exit from it, to reside in other countries perceived to be more stable socially, economically and politically. The obvious is, the systems and structures on which our nation is anchored are not working. This is quite painful... WHERE DO I LOOK? (8)  BE OF GOOD CHEER! Man's happiness and joy have been greatly threatened. Several conditions have drawn people to the realms of sadness and sorrow. Naturally speaking, you may not expect someone passing through a teething health or spiritual challenge to be elated; neither will someone who just suffered a terrible disappointment or heart break nor loss of a beloved one to be cheerful. However, these are daily occurrences in our societies we may not be able to avoid.  I like to show something I believe will interest you, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33).  "...be of good cheer". Being of good cheer is to be happy, enthusiastic and filled with joy always. WHERE DO I LOOK? (7) PERFECT PEACE  Peace is one of the most desired condition of man. The essence of peace has left men, institutions and even nations to let go of their most treasured substances just to have a taste of peace. Disturbing as it may appear, sacrifices for peace in this world comes a with tangible cost sometimes including painful scares, losses, tears and emotional torture. The good news however is, Christ has done and is doing so much to ensure your Peace while you walk through life here on earth. He knows of the sacrifices, costs and prices that comes for peace and He paid it all painfully yet with humility.  "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." PATIENCE, FORBEARANCE AND LONGSUFFERING Question: "...I like to know...is there is a difference between patience, forbearance and longsuffering?" 'Forbearance' and 'Longsuffering' are closely knitted with Patience. Literally, these words can be used interchangeably, but in scriptural context, they are presented as different spiritual virtues that a true Christian must posses.  Being called or identifying with the Christian faith is not just enough, it is only enough when the nature of Christ is expressed in our way of life.  WHERE DO I LOOK? (6)   HUMILITY AND EXALTATION Maybe you have just been pursuing it in blunders. I mean the exaltation, honour, lifting and dominion you seek. I am also sure you are committed to paying the price for what you seek, but you just have to be sure you are not paying the wrong price for your desired treasure.  Calm down please! There is a price for that honour and lifting you desire. Developing a modest view of one's self is a process in progress to exaltation and making ourselves of no reputation is a prerequisite for divine lifting.   CHRISTIAN TRIBULATIONS Why should Christians undergo tribulations, pains and sufferings? Tribulations are the sufferings, pains, distresses, sorrows we undergo as a result of persecutions and afflictions; these are trials. Just as with you, everyone chooses to enjoy nothing short of peace, joy and satisfaction here on earth and even in the life after(Eternity), for those who have embraced the Love and Grace of Jesus Christ.  These amiable desires are distorted when challenges arise and man's heart is fixed in between faith and hope for victory and triumph. Just a reminder, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). Permit my sharing with you the difference between victory and triumph. Triumph is the celebration and jubilation that follows after a victory has been won.  WHERE DO I LOOK? (5)   LOOK AND LIVE! Living God's purposed life on earth can only be a reality by looking unto Him- JESUS. Our living for Him is anchored on our looking on Him. We look to Him and be like Him. "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD" (2 Corinthians  3:18).The secret to living a glorious life here is by beholding Him because He is the source and giver of all Glory.  You see, Glory is not of this world, it is God's image and  anywhere you find anything glorious, there is a divine involvement. Only God gives and makes glorious. Keep this in mind, you only benefit of His Glory when you gaze or look to Him and you become His Glory when you behold Him wholeheartedly with open face. ON ALTAR CALLS Responding to this:   "With all sincerity..., do you believe people get saved through Altar Calls?... I attend a church where Altar Calls was not a practice." Altar Call does not guarantee salvation. It is perhaps an activity adopted in some Christian gathering to mark a sinner's U-turn from the life of sin to Godliness.  However, it is important we understand that before anyone responds to an Altar Call, he/she must have been inspired or touched by the sermon and prompted by the Spirit of God to surrender to JESUS, anything outside this is a mere fluke and not a product of Godly sorrow (2 Corinthians 7:10).  We may draw some light from the immediate evangelistic harvest that attended the apostolic ministry of Peter following the Pentecostal experience in the upper room of Jerusalem. WHERE DO I LOOK (4) HANDLING DISTRACTIONS Sometimes, distractions are closer to us than our minds. We may not just be able to avoid it for they are active and readily present features of our worlds. Whatever draws or diverts your attention from what should be your central focus, purpose and goal in life is a distraction. Nothing hinders and limits us from looking to Jesus than distractions such as pains, disappointments, sufferings, lacks, afflictions and oppressions of the devil; the list could go endless but certainly not without identifying the distractions of deceits, temptations to sin and worldly pleasures. More often, distractions arises from the external environment and gets settled on the mind, at this point shunning or disregarding it might take serious self-discipline or a help beyond self; here, I mean a divine assistance to still remain focused  despite the clouds of distractions around. WHERE DO I LOOK? (3) DISREGARD DISTRACTIONS! "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:2)  In the Faith, are you a babe or an 'adult'? You need to look unto Jesus. He is the author and finisher of the Faith you claim to have  received.  It may also be of interest to you, Jesus is the only hope of our Faith life and journey. Looking unto him makes us consistent, steadfast and courageous.  Remember the  optimistic and cheerful disciple- Peter, his faith journey while he walked on waters with Jesus was quite enviable at his take-off, but in process time, he began to sink.
