WHERE DO I LOOK? (3)

DISREGARD DISTRACTIONS!

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:2) 

In the Faith, are you a babe or an 'adult'? You need to look unto Jesus. He is the author and finisher of the Faith you claim to have  received. 

It may also be of interest to you, Jesus is the only hope of our Faith life and journey. Looking unto him makes us consistent, steadfast and courageous. 

Remember the  optimistic and cheerful disciple- Peter, his faith journey while he walked on waters with Jesus was quite enviable at his take-off, but in process time, he began to sink. Beloved, are you still consistent and stable in your walk with God as you're journeying through this stormy oceans of life?

You see, when he (Peter) stepped on the waters, his eyes was fastened on Jesus, he walked on it confidently. Along the line, distraction came, he lost focus and the depth of the waters swallowed him gradually. He had to regain focus to get help for stability from Jesus. The heavy and tempting distractions hindering your smooth and steady walk with God are the devices of the devil- sins, sicknesses, pains, disappointments, perceived neglect, lacks and a host of others. The devil engage them to draw your attention from focusing on JESUS. They are all more distractions than challenges. 

The devil knows your consistent focus and looking on Jesus spells his failure and defeat, hence he distracts you with pleasures of the world, temporal satisfactions, pride and tempting options. Where you look is and will always be your choice, disregard your distractions and look unto JESUS.

Beloved of God, to step fearlessly on the waters of life and walk on it without sinking, takes looking unto Jesus. Perhaps you've not thought if it, why are you sinking? 
You are sinking because you are losing focus. 

Why is your walk with God so unstable and inconsistent?
Your walk with God is so because you have not disregarded the devils distractions to look consistently unto JESUS.

Why are you not getting that needed divine help? 
You are not getting that divine help because you are giving-in to distractions. Look unto Jesus! 

Whoever you are in the Faith, there is only one sure garrantee for your victorious ending and that is, looking unto Jesus. 
IGNORE DISTRACTIONS AND LOOK UNTO JESUS!
