 HUMILITY AND EXALTATION

Maybe you have just been pursuing it in blunders. I mean the exaltation, honour, lifting and dominion you seek. I am also sure you are committed to paying the price for what you seek, but you just have to be sure you are not paying the wrong price for your desired treasure.

Calm down please! There is a price for that honour and lifting you desire. Developing a modest view of one's self is a process in progress to exaltation and making ourselves of no reputation is a prerequisite for divine lifting. When our humility is sincere, it touches God, it communicates with Christ's nature and attracts divine lifting.

In our days, it is common to mention than manifest Humility. The truth is, with more or less consciousness, this fruit of Grace or spiritual virtue- Humility is getting quickly shortchanged for pride, self-exaltation, and high mindedness.

These opposites have gained popular expression in believers, such that trying to identify its source as an innate or acquired human attribute as psychologists do would no longer hold water. The truth be told, the manifestations of these negatives in believers is a subtle device of the devil to fault our acceptance before God.  "But he gives more grace. Wherefore he says, God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble." (James  4:6).

As much as the nature of pride and self-importance grows, the currency of the word 'Humility' and it manifestation diminishes and becomes underplayed; whereas, it's one of God's expectation from us as His sons and daughters as well as His pre-requisite for our exaltation.

We read in scripture, "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time" (1 Peter 5:6). Despite this clear recipe for our divine exaltation, we still seems well given to self-exaltation, pride and haughtiness. Humility is a Grace we seek while we cooperate with God's word to get the virtue cultivated in us.

Dear friend, you don't have the power to exalt yourself. Lucifer tried to, it ended in eternal downfall. Jesus humbled Himself and God exalted Him.

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name" (Philippians 2:5-9). You see, your exaltation, if it will endure can only come from God. Beloved, your HUMILITY and not your exaltation is your own responsibility.

Jesus would not consider His majesty and eternal glory to humble Himself in fashion of a man to redeem humanity to God through a shameful and dishonoring death on the cross. It wasn't for nothing, and we need to take after Him,  "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews  12:2). Even though humility may demand endurance, perseverance and sometimes pains and patience, it is a the price for glory and exaltation.

Humility is an indispensable virtue, it is a state of having a modest opinion about yourself. When God sees your humility,

He draws nearer when all have despised and forsaken you;

He supports you regardless of who opposes you;

He exalts you despite your reproachful and shameful past;

He promotes you in spite all hindrances;

He delivers you irrespective of what ensnares or threatens you; and

He turns away His wrath from your domain.

Do you desire a lifting, then cultivate Humility, it opens you up divine exaltation.

I hope this inspires you!
