A NEW NIGERIA IS EMERGING...

 HEALING FOR OUR NATION

I have heard several people make derogatory comments on the hope of our dear nation. Some say things like "Nigeria is a failed state", "Nigeria is finished", "Nigeria is in shambles" (perhaps you've heard some worse too).


While others keep expressing their hopelessness of the nation by pursuing an exit from it, to reside in other countries perceived to be more stable socially, economically and politically. The obvious is, the systems and structures on which our nation is anchored are not working. This is quite painful... Our nation is sick! 

Where then should we find hope for our dear nation?  How can our nation be healed from its paleness and sicknesses?

The scriptures helps us with a clear yet simple solution towards hope and healing for our nation. 

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)


Believers hold a crucial responsibility in the face of our current national incorrectness and absurdities. The hope and healing we crave for can only be made a reality by believers. With you and I is an assured promise of healing for our nations as we humble ourselves in the place of prayers and repent of our evildoings. 

This will be more evident when we also strive to influence others out of their sinful ways through the power of the Gospel; then, our nation's peace and prosperity will be restored and achievable.

Again our prayer for mercy, peace and revival in humility must also be accompanied with positive thoughts and confessions on our nation. With these I am sure our sick nation will receive the power for hope and healing through us. 

In my nation, I see HOPE... 

On my nation, I proclaim HEALING,

...for my nation, I believe in MIRACLES.

Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces...I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good" (Psalm 122:6-10).
