FINISHING WELL (3)

I will not forget so easily a statement I imbibed from one of my leadership mentors,  "... not until I successfully finish my leadership task, I am not a Leader". These words provoke my thoughts on leadership from time to time, as I came to the understanding that there is no such thing as a 'failed leader', Leadership in itself is successful and without failure in its lexicon; should any one fail as a leader, he was not a leader in the first place. I learnt, leadership is not the position in itself, but a test of it qualification.  In short, the euphoria of a leader is weighed more on his/her ending than beginning. As Ecclesiastes 7:8 puts it, "Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof..."

The reality of the close of the present year is much with us than the previous weeks, specifically with the festive mood over the annual celebration of the birth date of the Jesus Christ (God's gift and redemption of the whole universe). However, the look of things around us appears the posture of merriment on this annual occasion is quickly subletting the main purpose of the Christmas, as attention is more accorded to the material and ceremonial involvement at the expense of the spiritual essence in the providence of Christ who is so celebrated. The point I like to raise here is that the essence of Christ in our individual lives cannot be underemphasized if we desire to FINISH WELL.

Here is the essence, "For God sent not his Son [Jesus Christ] into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved"(John 3:17). Are you saved? Have you surrendered your life to Jesus? That is the purpose of Christ and the reason this particular season. As much as we have tailored our minds to finish this current year well, the only hindrance which I am very sure you will overcome is, giving your life to CHRIST, taking and believing Him as your personal Lord and saviour. You can attain this as you give up on all your known sins, confessing them with a strong determination to forsake them by His Grace, then you have FINISHED WELL.

I think you have to do this now, I can assure you God is near you there, even than the clothes you have on you, Jesus has His ears wide opened to listen to you speak, and the Holy Spirit is very much ready to create His residence within you. Just confess your sins, wrongs and evil doings and tell Jesus to forgive you of all. You just read this out, "Lord Jesus, I acknowledge my sins and wrong doings, I come to you for forgiveness, pardon me and make me yours; give me the Grace to live a sinless life for I know with You only can I FINISH WELL. Thank you for hearing and saving me in Jesus precious name. AMEN"

Congratulations!!!

Friend, I WILL SEE YOU NEXT YEAR, because you are FINISHING WELL & STRONG.
