THE LABOUR OF GOD'S APPOINTMENT

"Doing God’s work is actually good, but doing the labor of God’s appointment is truly commendable." 

 "I am not very clear about the meaning of the labour of God's appointment...How is it different from God's work? Or is it not part of God's work? Please enlighten me."

The labour of God's appointment is a work for God that is not just fuelled by mere zeal and personal capacity to get things done. It is a labour which is based on specific and timely divine order. 

Many work for God because they can offer the service continuously without a heart to trust or time to wait on God the master of the work. They work without sincerely seeking to know the will of God for them in working for Him in His veinyard; rather they keep labouring for God according to their ideas with the mind of fostering their plans and objectives. 

 ...that we diligently work for God is quite good but not enough. It is needful that our service to God is premised on His leading and instructions for each seasons in His plans and purposes, with our total dependence on Him to fulfil the purpose of such labour through submission and alignment to Him. I think Christians often fall into the error of seeing themselves far better than other brethren because of what they do 'for God'. 

To this end, it may be cleared that the labour of God appointment is truly commendable and more rewarding than a work for God in-between. 

These are my thoughts on the labour of God's appointment.
