ARE YOU LIVING IN CONDEMNATION?
NO CONDEMNATION!
Roman 8:1 is just good to start with, it reads "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit". You know what? Several believers still get hunted by their past, this should not be. Being hunted by your past should not be an experience of those who are genuine children of God, who are washed in Christ's precious blood and led by His Spirit.
Condemnation in the context of Roman 1:8 (earlier quoted) is a condition of remaining in a strong and pounding state of guilt after repentance and divine pardon. It could also be, personally, however a state of self-unforgiveness and unconvertible urge after divine pardon.
I mentioned divine pardon, this need not be questioned, we find it basis in scriptures; "He that covereth is sin shall both prosper: but whoso confesseth and forseketh them shall have mercy...for I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more"(Proverbs 28:13;Hebrews 8:12).
Kindly understand, condemnation is not for believers who have turned away from walking in the flesh to walk in the direction and leading of God's Spirit because they are already redeemed and now beings in Christ's Spirit.
You see, condemnation after conversion is bondage. No wonder, the Bible instructs us expressly, "Stand fast therefore in liberty where with Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage" (Galatians 5:1). You must know that salvation brings you liberty from the bondage of sin and guilt. You are saved, then you are free. Whoever is free is certainly not in bondage and condemnation.
Salvation, being in Christ brings that kind of total freedom from guilt. To be free, is to be in Christ Jesus; "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord" (Acts 3:19).
Dear Friend, have you thought about it this way, an hired assassin, serial killer, highway robber, kidnapper and other evil workers carry out their activities with painless guilt, why then should a blood washed, redeemed and divinely pardoned believer still keep his or herself in the bondage of condemnation and guilt?
Beloved, here is the antidote to your condemnations, believe that there is now NO CONDEMNATION for you as declared in Romans 8:1; then, strongly resist the condemner and accuser of your soul as James 4:7 tells us to do, "Submit yourselves therefore to God, Resist the devil, and he will flee from you".
As long as you are a believer, walking in the Spirit, there is NO CONDEMNATION.
