Mr. Thief 1

The first thief ever is the devil, that old serpent. He came to Eve in Garden of Eden to steal her mind when she was carried away by her lust and enticed; he came to kill her conscience such that she underestimated her God and His law; he came to practically destroy her relationship and that of Mankind with God. What a thief, a murder and a devourer. No wonder we see in John 10:10, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Also, in 1Peter 5:8, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour". Don't be his victim.

Just the same way the devil carried out his devilish and deceptive antics on the first woman and by far the first family of the human race, so does he today. He is neither omnipresent nor omnipotent, but he has developed agents assigned everywhere in the world to undertake this  deceptive assignments all under his demonic network and supervision. 

You see, the only way you can be free from his influence is by renouncing his gimmicks and games- Sin. Repent of your sins and turn away from them. God has opened the opportunity of repentance, Acts 17:30 says "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:" God is always ready to forgive you once you are ready to repent. Your repentance is your freedom from Mr. Thief.

Thank God for the closing part of John 10:10, it reads "...I (Christ) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Christ gave Himself for your victory over Mr. Thief, all you need to do is to cooperate with Christ and repent of all your sins and be a genuine Child of God.

Besides, 1Peter 5:8 may help us properly conclude this issue, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." Beloved, you will also need to watch and pray so that Mr. Thief- the devil will not make a mess of your life here on earth and later welcome you into hell.

Don't be his victim...Your Repentance is your freedom from Mr. Thief

Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces...I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good" (Psalm 122:6-10).
