ASK (2)
Economics brought to fore the knowledge that human wants are insatiable. However true this many appear, there must be a means through which human beings will then pursue and satisfy these needs. I am sure you are will agree with me that ASKING is one of the ways to getting those unending human wants.
For Christians, this asking is expressed in the place of prayer. Believers will always have requests as it touch their spiritual, ministerial, family, circular needs and so on, more particularly the basic needs of life. It is interesting to discover, God understands that for man to get his needs and prayers answered, ASKING is indispensable, this is why in the Lord's prayer, Christ taught we, His disciples, "After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread..." (Matthew 6:9-11).
You must ask for your daily bread just like you ask other things from God in prayers, that is when you will get them from God. Consider a classroom with a sizeable number of students where provision has been made for all students to have their individual course material, but while some are standing up and struggling to collect theirs, others were seated waiting for it to come to them naturally. You know what? Those seating will get theirs late or even miss it for one reason or another. Beloved, every blessing or answer to asking is time bound, you need to always ASK in prayer to get it at the right time.
Friend, life is getting it hard on many people because they are failing to ASK, to simply say " Father, Give me my daily bread". Let me add this here, your working hard alone does not guarantee the availability of your daily bread; in context of the Bible, which I believe and works for me, Your asking for your daily bread matters a lot. Don't think you are asking too much, He taught and told you to do so (ASK).
John 16: 24 says "Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."
Getting your daily bread is benched on Asking, ASK!
