DECISION

I had a friend in my secondary school days, he was so diligent to studying that several students noticed him. Then, some student would ask him, why don't you give a little time to play with friends, we often tell him "all work can no play makes Jack a dull boy"; he would respond by saying something like "friends, as for me, I have decided to study hard, if possible even while am asleep, to become a lawyer in the future". Some of us back then would laugh in jest or complement and he would just keep focused. You know what? He was recently seen on national television as one of the lawyers handling one of the high profile political cases in the country. Though fictional, yet instructive of how our decisions today can influence our position and placement tomorrow.

Decisions in life can never be compromised, whether you like it or not you will make decisions. Have you thought of it, everyday you make decision on what to wear, where to go, how to relate with people and how we want our future to be. I remember in scriptures when Ruth decided to go with Naomi, her mother-in-law at the expense of her marital hope and future; her decision eventually placed her in the lineage of a coming Messiah after she divinely met Boaz (Ruth 2,3,4).

Dear friend, you must understand that as we make decisions concerning healthy living, we also make decision on our spiritual and eternal destiny; as we read in John 3:16-18 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." 

To enjoy an eternal home in Heaven with Christ Jesus, you have to make a decision for Christ, to follow Him against the world and its sins, anything outside these will make you an unbeliever, sinner and hell bound individual. Therefore, you need to make a decision, either to follow God or the devil.

Make a decision for Christ Jesus today by confessing your sins and calling Him in prayers to be your Lord and Saviour, then you keep trusting in His grace to totally and permanently forsake them and live a life in Christ.

Your decision for Christ today will earn you place in Heaven at the end. Make the DECISION now!

Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces...I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good" (Psalm 122:6-10).
