YOUR PROSPERITY
In affiliation to the scriptures, it is often said "a good name is better than gold and silver". A good name in this context could mean a savoured character and repute, while the gold and silver obviously points to prosperity. The essence of this saying is to draw attention to the popular mad race for wealth at the expense of a good name.
In quest for prosperity, several people have engaged in dubious and diabolical practices rather than dutiful diligence. You hear some desperate wealth seekers say things like "whatever it takes and will cost me, I must get wealthy"; and true to their words, they do everything possible, even the unthinkable to attain it with little or no consideration of the consequences of an ill gotten wealth.
Indeed, wealth is good and it is one of the evidences of prosperity. What is yet to be understood by several wealth seekers is that God never created any man poor or destined anyone to live in poverty, man has only determined his condition as a product of choice. Prosperity is a condition of physical, mental, financial and social satisfaction.
I remembered mentioning earlier that our current status is a product of our choice. God has made all necessary provision for our prosperity in the various gifts and talents He endowed us with; He expressed His intension on our prosperity, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper..." (3 John 1:2). Then, why are we still impoverished, unsatisfied and indigent?
I found the answer to this pertinent question in Proverbs 28:13 "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." Here, we can see the reasons for our lack of prosperity despite our seemingly endless labour. Your sins of corruption, stealing, lying, false accusation, immorality among others have cursed your prosperity. You now see the fault is yours and not God's.
Do you sincerely desire prosperity? Then, you need to stop covering yours sins, expose and confess them to God and let Him have mercy on you. He will turn away your curse and cleanse you. He will pardon your sins and give you prosperity. He will take off your wretchedness and give you wealth.
Beloved, poverty is not in your making, Your prosperity is your choice.
