BEGIN WITH HIM

The truth is that many of us are just so familiar with certain verses of scripture such that we loose the ministry of such to our lives in the most crucial time of need. This is why at times we find ourselves depressed and weak in spirit; though with knowledge, yet made powerless by overfamiliarity. One of such scripture will defeat the force of familiarity as we explore its power and gain wisdom for this time. Genesis 1:1, " In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Very familiar, that you can even recite playfully, I suppose; yet with great mysteries that may never be entirely untied till eternity.

This scripture presents a very instructive theme that I consider of great relevance to you, now that you just got a brand new opportunity to sail the routes of a blessed new year. No doubt, hanging on God's unchanging Will, this year promises great, not meaning that everyone who goes through it will be blessed. The year's blessings will be for anyone who will start and sail through the year with God, "In the beginning God..." Here we see that God is the God of beginnings, starts and commencements. One thing I can assure you of God is, anything He starts, He will definitely finish. Beloved, do you know you can be a project in God's hands this year? That's if only you will begin with Him and let Him start with you this time.

Even if you have not considered it this way, am sure you know God's project cannot lack resources, God's project will not be abandoned, God's project can never be terminated, and it always end as a masterpiece of wonder to the world. This is what your life can enjoy if surrendered as a project under God's supervision this very year. Let me ring this here also, the only project God will not support and finish is a project He never started. You can only be assured of a joyful and gracious ending even from the beginning by starting with God and allowing Him to start with you (Isaiah 46:10).

A keynote to be made popular is, God is ready to begin with you because He gave you the opportunity of a new year desiring that you will walk with Him. Beloved, the ball has always been in your court as the decision to begin with God now lies in you. Don't forget, when a vehicle gets fully loaded from the park, it needs no other additional passenger while on the journey. I persuade you to start this year's journey with God by agreeing to follow His guideposts and walk in His ways. This is where taking God's Word seriously without defaulting, doubting and overfamiliarity comes in.

This year, take all of God's Word with all seriousness, apply it to your life and experience its manifold ability, for "no word of God is void of power". A beginning without God is to experience a rough and dry journey with a fruitless and painful end.

Dear friend, as I bring new year greetings to you, my earnest pray  is that you find GRACE to walk with God from the beginning of this new year even till the end and much more beyond till we meet and feast at His feet in His heavenly Kingdom.
